Apple's Knowledge Base provides brief instructions on how to 'Install MacOS 9 to use Classic Applications' on PowerPC-based Macs that did not ship with the MacOS 9 'Classic Environment' pre-installed. Please note that the 'Classic Environment' is not supported on PowerPC-based Macs running MacOS X 10.5 'Leopard.'
