In preparation of our Initial Consultation, you should gather images, sketches or any material which may be of assistance in expressing your vision.
At the initial meeting we will discuss the vision of your project and what will be important to you about the design. We will determine if Design Plans will be necessary for the project. We will review any material you have provided and discuss any key products and materials you may like to be used.
A target budget for your project will be established at the initial consultation. Having open communication about the budget for your project will help us make sure building materials, finishes and specifications are in line with what you are able and willing to invest into your project. This will help ensure that the products and materials used support your end purpose for the project.
DMG Design+Build requires that all decision makers involved in the project attend the initial consultation. If for some reason someone involved cannot attend this meeting, we ask that you inform us in advance so we can reschedule for a better date and time.
Project Development
You and your project will be added to our cloud-based Client Portal allowing you to monitor the status of your project at every phase of construction.
DMG Design+Build will then develop a design concept based on the proposed project as well as the images, sketches and your target budget that were provided at the initial consultation.
Plans will be presented to express the design concepts for you to visualize design intent. We will help you with preparing a list and material selection to be included that support your purpose and are within your target budget. Details and product specification are confirmed and/or established as needed to generate a written proposal for the proposed project.
The designs will then be revised as necessary and the final concept plans will be presented to you, reflecting your input and comments.
A detailed written proposal will be presented based on the final concept plans and specifications. Cost to complete construction plans ready for permit approval will be included in the total project cost. Plans for permit and construction will be received after acceptance of a construction agreement.
Construction Agreement

Project Completion Process
Throughout the construction process we will address any items needing attention as they arise. As we approach the end of your project, we will schedule a walk-through of the property with you. We will then compile a Pre-Completion Quality Control Checklist to identify any items that must be completed. We will also ensure that all required final building inspections are completed.
